Virtual Tour to Masjid-al-Aqsa in Jerusalem

I have just stumbled upon a website providing a great service allowing the visitors to be on a virtual tour to several islamic sites such as the Al Haram Ash Sharif in the old city of Jerusalem. This place hosts the holy mosque: Masjid Al Aqsa and the infamous Dome of the Rock. For those who has not been there, this tour will provide a very good insight into this important islamic site. The virtual tour even give some narations and background information about the place.

The virtual tour is provided by Saudi Aramco World through this web address. It is not a video recording. Rather, it is an exploration of the place via a series of panoramic fotos. The fotos are of high resolution allowing zooming in to see more details. A few of them provide point of view regular visitors will never see.

So, have a look and enjoy. I hope this will increase our love to this holy place in Palestine.
