The Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ) has announced that due to no positive sighting of the crescent moon on Wednesday evening, the first fasting day of 1 Ramadan 1444 AH will be on Friday, 24 March 2023 CE for muslims in New Zealand.
