Based on the calculations of the crescent moon’s visibility map, the sighting of the crescent moon (hilal) of 1 Sha’ban 1444 H will be possible from the western region of the American continent during the evening of Monday, 20th Feb 2023. Therefore, it is expected that we will obtain naked-eye photos of the crescent moon of 1 Sha’ban 1444 H from that region. There is also a possibility that photos of the crescent moon of 1 Sha’ban 1444 H will be obtained using telescopes from other regions to the east, such as Africa or the Middle East.
However, more photos of the hilaal of 1 Sha’ban 1444 H will be obtainable during the evening of Tuesday, 21st Feb 2023 from almost all regions of the world including Australia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Africa, and Europe.

Kazim Mamdani reported: Kazim Mamdani, Abbas Mamdani and Zohair Mamdani saw the crescent moon by naked eye for the month of Shabaan. We saw it on the Monday evening, 2/20/23 at 5:55 pm at Mount Laguna, CA, a suburb of San Diego, CA. The orientation of the crescent was at 1 and 7 O’Clock. We saw it with binoculars at 5:45 pm and then at 5:55 we saw it with naked eye. [from moonsighting.com]
Therefore, 1 Sha’ban 1444 AH corresponds to Tuesday, 21 Feb 2023 CE based on global moon sighting.
