As reported by several news sites, Saudi Arabia has announced that 1 Dhul-Hijjah 1443 AH corresponds to Thursday, 30 June 2022. Today’s moon sighting in the region was a success: crescent moon that marks the beginning of the Hajj or Pilgrimage month was sighted in Tumair, Saudi Arabia. Accordingly, the Day of Arafah – the pinnacle of the Hajj rites – will fall on Friday, 8 July 2022 and Eid-ul-Adha will be on Saturday, 9 July 2022.
However, as usual, no photo of the crescent moon was circulated by the Saudi authority, yet.
These dates are the same as the previously calculated Ummul Qura Calendar and as analysed in this article regarding the moon sighting of Dhul-Hijjah 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
