HilalMap – Crescent Moon Visibility Map
This tool enable muslims to visually display the possibility of crescent moon to be sighted in a color-coded, and easy to understand world map. It will help such activity as rukyatul-hilal or moon sighting by giving information about how easy the crescent moon will be sighted from various locations or countries around the world. It gives information whether ones will need optical aids to see the moon or not and where the moon is impossible to be visually detected.
The HilalMap is also a useful guide to design a lunar-based or moon-sighting based islamic calendar.
