Australia to Celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, 1 Shawwal 1439 on Friday, 15 June 2018

The Australian National Imams Council (ANIC – anic.org.au) has announced via its Facebook page that Eid-ul-Fitr, 1 Shawwal 1439 Hijri (AH) will be on Friday, 15 June 2018. The Grand Mufti of Australia, Sheikh Abdul Azim al-Afifi and respected imams of the Council, wished anÂ Eid Mubarak to all muslims in the country.

He also stated that the Council acknowledge differing opinions on the methods to start hijri month and urge muslims to avoid debate and to focus on the potential unity among the muslim community.
