There was one report of hilal (crescent moon) sightings from Tahiti, French Polynesia on the evening of Monday, 8 July 2013. Below is the report as cited by ICOP:
Mr. Hussein Farhat said: “On Monday, 8th July 2013 the moon was seen and photograhed in Tahiti, French Polynesia. This Photograph was taken on 08-07-2013, at 18:08 local standard time by E. Gauducheau from Tahiti, French Polynesia. The approximate location of the site was 17.40′ S and 149.24′ W.”
And here is the photo of the crescent moon, visible by naked eye from Tahiti, 8 July 2013.
However, crescent moon was sighted in many places on the next evening, Tuesday, 9 July 2013.
