wa’alaikum salam, violet and also to Br. Zamir Ahmed. You’re right when saying that it’s not masjidil aqsa. That’s why I don’t call it Masjidil Aqsa either. As you may see on my Islamic Clock Widgets site, I call it the Dome of the Rock, which literally means Quba al-Sakhra.
Why I use this image? Well, it is a master work of islamic art during the golden age of islam. It is so prominent, especially the golden dome, that everyone will directly associate it with the land of Palestine.
I am sad that somebody is so quick branding other people as a Zionist when they have not enquiry further about the people. This is my way to show a support for our brothers in Palestine.

it is masjid quba al- Sakhra..or known as Dome of the Rock..so, i hope the picture can be replaced with the real picture of Masjidil Aqsa..wallahu a’lam..
