Islamic Widgets as Vista Sidebar Gadgets and Yahoo! Widgets

I have just updated the post options for the Alhabib Islamic Widgets to be more interactive and presenting more choices. As the title says, you can now try the islamic widgets as desktop widgets. In other words, you can download the widgets and display them as a small appliccation or gadget on your computer. This way, the widget will always be on your computer desktop regardless your online status.

For now, the supported desktop widget platforms are: Vista Sidebar Gadget and Yahoo! Widget. For the former, you do not have to install anything to start using the islamic widgets. If you are using windows Vista, you can just download the widget and run it right away. For Yahoo! Widget you need to download the widget engine first from Yahoo!. Where to get the engine will be presented on the download page.

A couple note of limitations:

  • I have not tested the widgets on Windows Vista (not using it at the moment)
  • There are no advanced customization for the desktop widget, apart from changing the dimensions.

So, that’s it. Alhabib Islamic Widgets are now Desktop ready. Whether they are islamic calendars, islamic clocks or other widgets, they are there and waiting to decorate your computer screen anytime…

Please have a try, and be kind to give me some feedbacks on this issue.
